Property law and conveyancing

Our property team is here to guide you through your next NSW conveyancing transaction

Conveyancing is the process of buying or selling real estate, most commonly in the form of a residential house or an apartment.

Whether you are a first home buyer, seasoned investor, or somewhere in between, you will need a conveyancer or property lawyer to transact on your behalf and our experienced team at Inner West Property Lawyers are here to guide you through the process.

Inner West Property Lawyers understand that buying or selling a home can be a complex and daunting experience. We provide our clients with an efficient, affordable and hassle-free conveyancing experience, while ensuring your rights and interests are protected along the way.

Our property team can assist with NSW property transactions, including:

· Residential houses, apartments and townhouses

· Rural property and land

· Buying off the plan

· Vacant Land

· Commercial and retail property

· Mortgages and caveats

· Residential premises within a Retirement Village

· Related party transfers and other eConveyancing matters

How much does it cost?

For residential houses, apartments and townhouses, we are usually able to offer our clients with a fixed-fee quote.

· Sale or purchase of residential property: $1,650 plus GST and disbursements

Disbursements typically range between $700 – $900 including GST, but vary depend on the property and will ultimately depend on the nature of the transaction.

Additional fees may apply depending on the nature of your transaction. These include:

· Contract review: for prospective buyers, we review and advise you in relation to the contract for sale for each property you consider, for which a fee of $300 plus GST applies. If you proceed to purchase the property, the contract review fee is included in the total fee.

· First Home Owner Grant (New Home) & First Home Buyers Assistance Scheme: for advising and assisting you in your application for first home buyers schemes, an additional fee of $200 plus GST applies.

· Loan and mortgage documents: for advising you in relation to loan and mortgage documents, an additional fee of $300 plus GST applies. However, it is typically not necessary for your conveyancer to review mortgage documents for a loan in connection with a residential purchase.

If you need assistance with a sale or purchase exceeding $2,500,000 or commercial conveyancing, please contact us to discuss a fee estimate for your matter.
